Artist
Peter produced a series of artworks for his first solo art exhibition in Durban in 2000. The following year, he held a sell out international art exhibition in Germany where twelve paintings, (21 on exhibit) were sold on the opening night. He has been commissioned to produce the illustrations for a South African Children’s Book series.
Peter creates original and compelling works of art and is inspired by the beauty of the human form, human emotion and the human spirit. He is equally intrigued by the polar opposite – the distortion of the human body, and the presence or absence of human emotion and spirit. Imagery is expressed three dimensionally through light and shadow, so too is the human spirit.
His preferred mediums are oil, charcoal and pencil.
